‘Hail Mary’-‘Hail Hitler’ Comparison

What are the similarities of ‘Hail Mary, Mother of God‘ prayer and ‘Hail Hitler, the Fuhrer‘ salutation? Are there also differences in these greetings? And how should they be logically treated if you love the true God in words, deeds and in spirit?

But before fully discussing the topic, let us agree on a premise that the Mary mentioned in the prayer is not the ‘Mother of God’ because God has not introduced anybody as His mother, unlike  in the case of  Christ, who was introduced as His son  when the latter was baptized by John the Baptist(Matthew 3:17).

Based on the above, it is logical to think that the Mary that is being referred in Hail Mary prayer is not the Mother of the true  Christ. In other words, the Mary and Christ, who are being ‘loved’ by Roman Catholics are  false.

Now, setting aside any traditional belief, let us proceed using a simple human logic.

When still young and as a former Roman Catholic,  the publisher was taught to pray the Holy Rosary, which includes the Hail Mary prayer. But by the turn of events, he was finally guided to compare the two ‘Hails’, somewhat similar to China-Hitler comparison by President Benigno Aquino III.

The similarities between them are as follows:

  • The prayer ‘Hail Mary, Mother of God‘ and ‘Hail Hitler, the Fuhrer’ put ‘Mary” and ‘Hitler’, respectively, superior in terms of reverence and placed God at the sideline, despite Christ’s assurance that the Father in heaven will directly hear the prayers subject to the provisions in Matthew 6:9-15.

9 This, then, is how you should pray:

‘Our Father in heaven:
May your holy name be honored;
10 may your Kingdom come;
may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today the food we need.
12 Forgive us the wrongs we have done,
as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us.
13 Do not bring us to hard testing,
but keep us safe from the Evil One.’

14 “If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive the wrongs you have done. (Matthew 6: 9-15, GNT).

  • Both greetings were never spoken by Christ, by an angel, by Elizabeth or by any prophet.

In Luke 1:28, it says:

And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, you that are highly favored, the Lord is with you: blessed are you among women.(King James 2000 Bible)

While Luke 1:41-43 says as follows:

41 And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, 42 and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! 43 And why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me?(ESV))

Note: From the above, while ‘hail’, ‘the Lord is with you’, ‘blessed are you among women’, ‘Blessed are you among women’ and ‘blessed is the fruit of your womb’, were spoken, Mother Mary was never referred to as the Mother of God and nothing was expressly mentioned ‘Hail Mary’ to, at most, impliedly show any reverence to Mother Mary as God.

The angel’s words ‘Hail, you that are highly favored”, consist only of a greeting followed by an informative statement. It was merely an information that God favored Mother Mary. If it is true that Mother Mary was really the Mother of God, the angel, who could have personal knowledge of the same being a heavenly creature, would have likewise informed Mother Mary that she is the ‘Mother of God’. But he did not.

On the other hand, Elizabeth’s statements did not mention that Mother Mary is the Mother of God or the phrase ‘Hail Mary’. Elizabeth’s statements on ‘mother of my lord’ simply refer to Mother Mary as mother of Christ, not as a Mother of God.

Therefore, there is no logical basis to say in effect “Hail Mary, Mother of God” when you interpolate the phrases ‘Hail Mary, full of grace” and  ‘Holy Mary, Mother of God’. In other words, the prayer is simply lying that a certain Mary is the Mother of God.

Of course, in the case of Adolf Hitler’s salutation, said greetings did not emanate from heavenly  angel.

  • The word ‘hail’, which is followed by a name ‘Mary’ or ‘Hitler’, is pronounced like “hell” and does not respect the Almighty’s throne. And both capacitate one to go to hell. For reference, hereto stated is the prayer:

Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

If God is jealous on images, the more reason that He becomes jealous on somebody who is being placed at the same level and even placed superior to Him in terms of reverence and importance, by way of having another entity called  “Mother of God”. Said entity is not in existence in the scripture. Nobody, even the Son of God, is entitled to be placed in Almighty’s throne. If you love God, then by all means respect his throne at least in your inner consciousness, because He is also manifesting inside.

Besides, Mother Mary became blessed not because of what the angel and Elizabeth had said but because “she heard the word of God and Keep it” (Luke 11:27). Therefore, despite the insistence of Roman Catholic and Orthodox Alleged Church, the true Mother Mary would never logically accept said reverence.  In fine, any blessedness of a saint or anybody is not a license to use of his/her name in idolatry or in prayers at par or superior in terms of reverence to God.

Now, in terms of differences of the two greetings, what are they?

First, the first one is not at the behest of Mother Mary but based on the doctrine of Roman Catholicism and similar sect or alleged churches while the second one is at the behest of Adolf Hitler himself. Therefore, the true Mother Mary is still blessed and innocent while those who are using her name in vain are not.  In other words, the true Mother Mary’s name is being victimized by the doctrine.

Second, the first one is feminine while the second one is masculine.

Therefore, based on the above premises, the ‘Hail Mary, Mother of God’ prayer is a feminine equivalence of ‘Hail Hitler, the Fuhrer’ salutation, which greetings are both going to the highway to hell.
