Based on factual allegations in the scripture, the Word, who was later introduced by God as His only begotten Son (John 1:1 in relation to John 1:14 and Matthew 3:17) and the Holy Spirit, who was introduced by Christ to the apostles as the one ‘to reveal the truth about God’ (John 14:16-17), are not co-equals of God, although they are inherent faculties of God.
Faculty in human is defined in http://dictionary.reference.com as an ability, natural or acquired, for a particular kind of action or one of the powers of mind, as memory, reason, or speech or an inherent capability of the body, e.g. the faculties of sight and hearing, a faculty for making friends easily or full possession of faculties despite an illness.
Naturally, in the case of God, His faculties are beyond the limits of human standards or cannot be adequately measured by using the same standards.
Similarly, however, the word and the spirit or intention of the word spoken by a person are not co-equals of a person who speaks, although they are faculties or parts of the essence of the person.
More specifically, the word of God is characterized as follows:
12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow, as it judges the thoughts and purposes of the heart. 13 No creature can hide from him, but everyone is exposed and helpless before the eyes of the one to whom we must give a word of explanation. (Hebrews 4:12-13, ISV)
That being so, the ‘trinity doctrine‘ or the ‘Three Persons in One God’ concept, which is based on co-equality of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, lacks any logical basis.
It would consequently follow also that all promoters of the trinity concept are all false witnesses.
Even using human standards, such co-equality concept can not withstand scrutiny. Because, the Word and the Holy Spirit were sent to earth by God to do their respective tasks. In other words, they are just extensions of God and had in effect performed their duties as representatives/agents/instruments of God. Under such circumstances and without a doubt, God, being the One who sent them, is logically superior than His representatives/agents/instruments.
Accordingly, they are not co-equals of God, in a similar manner, that ambassadors and representatives of a nation are not co-equals of the President or the Head of the State.
Also, just like in the case of the three branches of a republican government, e,g. the judiciary, executive and legislative branches, co-equality concept calls for ‘check and balance’ relationship, which does not apply to the three alleged persons of God, as Christ himself did not check or oppose God’s proposition that he dies on the cross.
In short, the control and supervision over the His faculties are still in God not the other way around or co-equally exercised by God and His faculties. Trinity doctrine is therefore not based on facts but based on a deceptive opinion.
On the other hand, John’s statement in John 1:1, stating that the ‘Word was God’, which used the past tense ‘was’ to stress that Christ was no longer God, when he lived amongst us, is implying the apprehension of God that in the event the Word continues to be God when he becomes human, Christ’s mother on earth, will be deceptively called as the ‘Mother of God’ as what had been taught by Roman Catholicism, to the prejudice of truth because God has no mother,
This is in addition to idolatrous acts involving the alleged images of Christ and his mother, which violation if committed, God forewarned in His second commandment that corresponding punishments will be imposed on violators up to third and fourth generations. The commandment states as follows:
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments” (Exodus:20:4-6 ).
Notice that this commandment becomes susceptible to deletion if Christ is believed to be God. In fact, Roman Catholic alleged Church deleted it, when it adopted the third commandment instead as its second commandment. Catholicity.com alleges:
“224. What is the second commandment of God?
The second commandment of God is: Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that shall take the name of the Lord in vain. (Exodus 20:7)”
Therefore, it is logical to believe that trinity doctrine was purposely adopted to violate the second commandment of God by proposing that ‘Jesus is God’ contrary even to the statement of John that the Word was God.
To stress, God’s faculty, which was manifested in flesh, was transformed to human. In fact, as stressed in John 1:14, the Word became human, without any qualifying verse that he continued to be God. Notably, if the Word continued to be God, nobody in heaven, on earth and underneath the sea could had ever crucified Christ!!! Can you?
