Why is Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) a false Church of Christ? Simply, it is because it believes on a false name Jesus as the messiah. Also, based on Matthew 16:18, it cannot be considered as a Church of Christ for a reason that corruption, lies and other evil designs and practices are not the elements of a true church, which is being qualified in the verse, to wit: “the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. Consequently, just like the Roman Catholic Church as previously discussed in the article entitled: Roman Catholic Church is the ‘Rock’, not the ‘Christ’s Church’, Iglesia ni Cristo can only claim as part of the ‘rock’ based on the statement of the messiah that “upon this rock I will build my church“.

Note: Shared from ABS-CBN.

Logically, therefore, Iglesia ni Cristo, which is a part of a ‘Christianity Rock‘, was only deceived by the Roman Catholicism to believe on such fictitious name Jesus and merely misrepresenting to the public that it is a ‘Church of Christ’.

As a reference, Matthew 16:17-19 is being quoted as follows:

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 16:17-19, KJV)

In the preceding verses, the name Jesus is mentioned. However, it has to be clarified that the  name, being fictitious, is very material to the proposition that those believing on a wrong name are merely part of the “rock” and not part of the Church of Christ, as fictitious Jesus, who is considered falsely as the Head of the Church, did not actually exist. His name only happened to exist in the minds of the believers because of the unholy and lying bible.

Doctrinally, the Roman Catholic Church and Iglesia ni Cristo differ in the treatment of the name Jesus,  because while the former considers him as Christ and God, the latter merely considers him as the messiah and not as God. Iglesia ni Cristo, however, was deceived by the former when it opted to inherit the said fictitious name to be incorporated in its doctrine, as there was no Jesus name that existed in Bethlehem when the messiah was born until he was crucified.

Also, the proof that the ‘gates of hell’ have already prevailed in  Iglesia ni Cristo is the recent controversy, where four (4) members of the Manalo family, namely,  Angel,  Marco,  Lolita and their mother, Tenny, were expelled, which  is merely the ‘tip of the iceberg’ incident or  a clear manifestation of the evil maneuvers between and among the ranks of believers. In fact, if indeed, the believers are truthfully believing in a true Christ, this incident would have never occurred, if to consider the tenor of verse 18.

As reported in an article: Church hits Angel’s ‘lies, empty claims’ by philstar.com, INC General Evangelist Bienvenido Santiago is invoking the words of God to justify the expulsion. The report states, as follows:

“On Thursday, INC general evangelist Bienvenido Santiago announced that the church will expel those who have created divisions among their ranks and answered point-by-point the allegations made by Angel and Tenny in the video uploaded on YouTube.

“What Angel Manalo and his mother said in calling for partners of Iglesia to help them as allegedly their lives are in danger, plus allegations that ministers have been taken, insinuating that Iglesia is involved, is not true,” Santiago said in Filipino.

He said that they are now leaning on the words of God and on what is written in the bible through their executive minister.

Santiago said they think the YouTube post was intended to get sympathy in order to get what they want, which is control of the Iglesia, implying that the video was part of a possible power grab in the sect.

“(They want to) interfere in the administration of the Church,” Santiago said in Filipino.”

If the report is to be analyzed however and taking into consideration the allegation of Santiago, which accuses the four to “interfere in the administration of the Church”, said accusation in itself has still to be clarified to really deny that a non-Manalo group is already inside the INC ranks to logically control the church and its wealth.

Unless it is appropriately explained, the counter-accusation by the expelled Manalos that non-Manalo group is doing technically the controlling maneuver can not be considered as without basis, at all.

As reported in “Angel Manalo alleges ‘corruption’ in Iglesia ni Cristo, Angel Manalo was airing the corruption that is already rampant inside the church. The reports said:

“MANILA, Philippines – Angel Manalo, brother of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) executive minister Eduardo Manalo, expressed his disappointment early Friday over the alleged rampant corruption in the religious organization.

“Napakaraming anomalya, napakaraming tiwali na ginagawa ngayon sa Iglesia. ‘Yun po ang ayaw namin,” Manalo said in an interview with radio dzMM.

Angel and his mother Tenny earlier released a video calling for help and claiming that their lives were in danger. They also claimed that some of the religious group’s ministers are missing.

The INC on Thursday denied the claims of Angel and Tenny and accused them of trying to gain sympathy to be able to get back in power.”

In short, Angel Manalo is complaining against the rampant corruption in the ‘church’, which was denied by the group in power. As a counter-accusation, the four (4) Manalos are alleged to be trying to gain sympathy to be able “to get back in power“, which logically admits that the Manalos are no longer in power.

Based on the above premises, will the proposition that ‘Iglesia ni Cristo, Inc is the true Church of Christ’ be supported by using Isaiah 53:10-11, which states:

“10 But the Lord was pleased with this humble servant who suffered such pain.[e]Even after giving himself as an offering for sin, he will see his descendants and enjoy a long life. He will succeed in doing what the Lord wanted. 11 After his suffering he will see the light,[f] and he will be satisfied with what he experienced”?.

No..because Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo, the Sanggunian, the ‘Church’ or the group in power would never enjoy the scandalous division of the alleged Church because of alleged lies and corruptions.
