Assuming that Jesus Christ is not a fictitious person that was just created by the Christian bible, even his knees will bow to ‘Yahushua’ upon hearing his name. This proposition is based on Philippians 2:10-11, which psychologically caused political uproar of the Roman Empire, when it was in power, thus, the empire changed the name of the Son into Ἰησοῦς (Iēsous) in Greek. It was changed in order to alleviate the fear of kneeling down upon hearing his name.
Notice also that the name of the Father in the old testament was changed when the Hebrew scripture was translated to Koine Greek, which finally resulted to English Lord as noted in Isaiah 42:8. Although, there were various translations from Hebrew to Greek, Septuagint translation prevailed and, based on prevailing history, became the basis of early writers in compiling the old testament in Greek.
The Greek title Ἡ μετάφρασις τῶν Ἑβδομήκοντα, lit. “The Translation of the Seventy”, and its abbreviation “LXX”, derive from the legend of seventy Jewish scholars who translated the Five Books of Moses into Koine Greek as early as the 3rd century BCE. Separated from the Hebrew canon of the Jewish Bible in Rabbinic Judaism, translations of the Torah into Koine Greek by early Jewish Rabbis have survived as rare fragments only.
The traditional story is that Ptolemy II sponsored the translation of the Torah (Pentateuch, Five Books of Moses). Subsequently, the Greek translation was in circulation among the Alexandrian Jews who were fluent in Koine Greek but not in Hebrew, the former being the lingua franca of Alexandria, Egypt and the Eastern Mediterranean at the time.
The Septuagint should not be confused with the seven or more other Greek versions of the Old Testament, most of which did not survive except as fragments (some parts of these being known from Origen‘s Hexapla, a comparison of six translations in adjacent columns, now almost wholly lost). Of these, the most important are those by Aquila, Symmachus, and Theodotion.
Based on the above history, it is noted that the seventy Jews in Alexandria, Egypt under the control and supervision of Ptolemy II, who translated the Hebrew scripture to Koine Greek were fluent in Koine Greek but not in Hebrew. Hence, the Septuagint translation is already doubtful, in terms of correctness of its translation. In fact, as finally noted later in Isaiah 42:8, the name of the Father became a title LORD, and no longer a name. In short, even before introduction of the name Iesous in Greek (now Jesus), the name of the Father, which is reflected in the name of Son, had already been put into oblivion.
Above scheme is prophesied in Jeremiah 23:26-27. The verses state as follows:
26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;
27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.(KJV)
On the other hand, the subject of Roman Empire’s fear, where the name of the Son was changed, states as follows:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11, KJV).
Why was the name changed? Think about this- if you are an Emperor of the Roman Empire and facing people who are no longer afraid to die even on the cross due to their deep and full trust and belief on the true messiah and immediately above verses, are you not interested in replacing the Son’s name and reflect instead the name of god Zeus (prefix -sus in Jesus), at the same time, prove to the world that you are not bowing to a name? Anyway, replacing it with another name would not do any harm to your own interests, because the name used to replace is merely invented in the first place.
Or, were the Greek writers, at the time of Emperor Constantine in AD 325, willing to transliterate the Hebrew or Aramaic name of the Son faithfully into Greek to reflect only the name of the God of Israel, which is reflected in the name of the former, taking taking into consideration the bloody conflicts between the Roman Empire, who was in power, and the early Christians? Also, what will you do, if you are the Emperor and facing a politically dangerous verse in Matthew 10:32, stating that:
32 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. (Matthew 10:32, NIV)?
Others may contend that Greek Iesous name already existed in the Septuagint Koine Greek translation, which mysteriously prevailed over other Greek translations. Said fact, however, is exposed as a fraud, it being contradicted by the later transliteration of the name of the branch (the messiah) referred in Zechariah 6:12 as Joshua. Notably, the transliterated name Joshua sounds more as Yahushua, if the short name of the Father, which is noted in Hallelu-Yah or “Praise Yah” in Revelation 19, is reflected. Hence, Jesus name has no historical basis, at all, as the name of the messiah.
Due to the above, it becomes reasonable to consider Emperor Constantine the Great to have done his part as prophesied in Daniel 7, where, in verse 8, he is referred as the “little horn before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots. And behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.” and where in verse 23, his kingdom is described, as follows:
23 “Thus he said: ‘The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down and break it in pieces.
The four kingdoms or the four beasts described in Daniel 7:3-7 are the Medes-Persian Empire under Cyrus the Great followed by the Greek Empire under Alexander the Great, then by the Roman Empire under Augustus Ceasar until the time of Emperor Diocletian, where tetrachy or “rule of four” or four heads described in Daniel 7:6 was given dominion over the divided Roman Empire and finally the consolidated Roman Empire or Byzantine Empire under Constantine the Great, when Constantine consolidated his power by subduing the other three emperors in tetrachy as described in Daniel 7:8 as “three of the first horns plucked up by the roots”.
Others believe that the four kingdoms dreamed by Nebuchadnezzar, the first of which was the Neo-Babylonian Empire, is the same with the four kingdoms dreamed by Daniel. However, due to the description of the fourth kingdom in Daniel’s dream, which shall be diverse from the first, the Roman Empire under Augustus Caesar to Emperor Diocletian would not fit into the description in Daniel 7:7, as only the second Roman Empire under Constantine would fit into it, it being diverse from the First Roman Empire. The difference between the First and Second Roman Empire is the treatment of early Christians, where they were persecuted before the reign of Constantine. But how did the fourth Kingdom under Constantine continue to devour the whole earth, tread it down and break it in pieces as stated in Daniel 7:23, which was not achieved by the First Roman Empire? It is by way of introducing to the world through the Council of Nicaea the fictitious name Iesous (now Jesus), which continued to devour the truth, using the falsified bible, worldwide, resulting to bigger wars and natural or man-made disasters.
Also, in Daniel 7:24-25, Constantine is described, to wit:
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise; and another shall rise after them, and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
25 And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws; and they shall be given into his hand until a time, and times, and the dividing of time.
26 “‘But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.
Regarding the ten horns spoken in Daniel 7:24, Wikipedia, in Legacy Section of Article pertaining to Constantine the Great, gives us the clue, as follows: “The Byzantine Empire considered Constantine its founder and the Holy Roman Empire reckoned him among the venerable figures of its tradition. In the later Byzantine state, it had become a great honor for an emperor to be hailed as a “new Constantine”. Ten emperors, including the last emperor of the Eastern Roman Empire, carried the name.. These emperors were Tiberius II Constantine, Constantine III, Constantine IV “the Bearded”, Constantine V “the Dung-named”, Constantine VI, Constantine VII “the Purple-born”, Constantine VIII “the Purple-born”, Constantine IX Monomachos, Constantine X Doukas, and Constantine XI Palaiologos.
Further, Daniel 7:25 describes him as what he had done by speaking great words against the Most High. These were externally manifested by his controlling influence over the Council of Nicaea, influencing the Empire to consider cross as a sign of his Christianity, defeating Arianism, making the Sabbath of Jews no longer important and instead incorporating the sun worshiping in Christianity, among others.
“The reign of Constantine established a precedent for the position of the Christian emperor in the Church. Emperors considered themselves responsible to the gods for the spiritual health of their subjects, and after Constantine they had a duty to help the Church define orthodoxy and maintain orthodoxy. The Church generally regarded the definition of doctrine as the responsibility of the bishops; the emperor’s role was to enforce doctrine, root out heresy, and uphold ecclesiastical unity. The emperor ensured that God was properly worshiped in his empire; what proper worship (orthodoxy) and doctrines and dogma consisted of was for the Church to determine.“.(Wikipedia. Section on Christian Emperorship)
- “On the venerable day of the Sun let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country however persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits because it often happens that another day is not suitable for grain-sowing or vine planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost.”
Furthermore, for centuries, as prophesied in the same verse, Constantine substantially influenced the building of nations and religious sects, using the fictitious name Jesus, worldwide. Finally therefore and following the words of Philippians 2:10-11, is there any valid reason except of being deceived to bow knees upon hearing the name Jesus Christ? Of course, none, because it is foolishness to do so. In fact, even Christians are not known to be bowing their knees upon hearing his name.
